Faith Stowers

Over the course of 11 seasons, Vanderpump Ruleshas become one of Bravo's most controversy-filled shows. The staff at SUR and beyond have been embroiled in drama, whether it's many instances of cheating,Jax Taylor'snumerous scandals and subsequent dismissal, and of course THE celebrity news story of 2023, "Scandoval." But the latest bit of controversy comes from former cast member Faith Stowers, who is suing Bravo related to incidents that took place while filming her two seasons on the show.

Here's everything you need to know about Vanderpump Rules' Faith Stowers suing Bravo.

When did Faith Stowers sue Bravo?

Announcement of Faith Stowers' lawsuit came on April 5, 2024. A date has yet to be announced for any upcoming trial.

When was Faith Stowers on Vanderpump Rules?

Faith Stowers is a former server at SUR, one of Lisa Vanderpump's restaurants and a main setting for Vanderpump Rules. She was a recurring cast member in season 4 from 2015 to 2016, and made guest appearances in season 6 from 2017 to 2018.

Why is Faith Stowers suing Bravo?

Faith has opened up a lawsuit against NBCUniversal and Bravo, citing "vicious assaults" and "racist harassment." She shed light on an incident that happened during her time on season 4, where fellow cast member Lala Kenthad brandished a knife during a tense argument between the two. Lala had apparently held the blade to her neck, threatening to "cut a bitch."

Faith goes on to say she was discouraged by both producers and the show's star Lisa Vanderpumpfrom reporting the incident to the authorities, with the latter even implying she would no longer be on the show if she couldn't get along with Lala. Though she didn't go to the police about it, she alleges that speaking up about her mistreatment did cause her demotion after season 4, going from getting $5000 for her appearance to becoming an unpaid "volunteer."

Faith also cites several moments of racism she experienced during her time on Vanderpump Rules. She alleges that she regularly received racial slurs and was mocked on set for her "nappy hair." She also names two of her former castmembers, Stassi Schroederand Kristen Doute, who had both said she was "a serial criminal who had been drugging and robbing men throughout Los Angeles" and also accused her of going AWOL from the military.

What happened with Faith Stowers, Stassi Schroeder, and Kristin Doute on Vanderpump Rules?

As Vanderpumpfans know, this suit is not the first time that Stassi and Kristin have been embroiled in drama regarding Faith. In June 2020, Faith told a story on Instagram Live in which the other two woman had been reading an article in the Daily Mailabout a Black woman robbing people. The two had then put in a call to the police, claiming that Faith was the criminal. Kristin had even tweeted the article at the time, saying, "hey tweeties, doesn’t this ex #pumprules thief look familiar? someone put her on mtv & gave her a platform for press. I didn’t wanna go there but I’m going there."

Faith's story and mistreatment went viral, and in response to the mass protests following the death of George Floyd, many brands affiliated with Stassi and Kristin pulled their deals with the reality stars. That includes Bravo, who announced one week later that the two would not be returning to Vanderpump Rules. Kristin, however, did come back to the franchise with the recent The Valleyspin-off, and will be appearing on The GOATreality series on Freevee this May.

What happened with Faith Stowers and Jax Taylor on Vanderpump Rules?

Faith also has a long and complicated history with former Vanderpumpstar Jax Taylor. It was revealed back in 2018 that the two had an affair, with Jax cheating on his now-ex-wife Brittany Cartwright. Faith came forward with secretly recorded audio of their encounter, which circulated among the cast and dominated her last season.

Several years later, after Stassi and Kristin were let go from Vanderpump(as well as newer cast members Max Boyensand Brett Caprioni for resurfaced racist tweets), Faith said that Jax's behavior also needed to be examined. A tweet was then found from 2017 where Jax said, in reference to Faith, "Shes wanted by the police for grand theft auto and “awol” from military, bad idea to be on a reality show dude. Someone’s going to jail." After the tweet came to light, Bravo broke ties with both Jax and Brittany, announcing their departure in December 2020.
