Stassi Schroeder, Beau Clark’s Wedding: Everything We Know (2024)

Stassi Schroeder isn’t afraid to call herself a bridezilla, but the Vanderpump Rules star is no match for the coronavirus pandemic.

The reality TV personality wasted no time planning her nuptials after her now-fiancé, Beau Clark, popped the question in July 2019. During a panel at BravoCon, the couple announced their plans to wed in Italy in October 2020.

“The No. 1 thing that we know for sure about our wedding is we don’t want to sweat,” Schroeder said at the fan convention in November 2019. “Beau and I agreed on, right when we got engaged, that we don’t want to sweat at our wedding. We are not going to sweat, no one at my wedding is going to sweat. … It’s going to be crisp, fall wedding!”

As the duo continued to plan, however, the COVID-19 crisis hit Italy and the United States.

“We’re trying to stay optimistic that things will sort itself out,” Schroeder said in April 2020 via Instagram Live. “I was thinking about that the other day. I was like, ‘Well I already have my dresses,’ but are people actually making them right now? Because that’s not essential. You know what I mean?”

A month later, the Next Level Basic author admitted she wasn’t confident that her dream wedding would ever happen.

“I’m so easy-going now because I don’t care about testing the food. I don’t care if the flowers are wilted,” Schroeder said on her podcast in May 2020. “I just want to get there and once we’re able to get to Rome, I don’t care if only five people show up. The fact that I’ll be able to be there is all I care about. It could be a ratchet wedding in Italy and I’ll be fine.”

Us Weekly exclusively revealed in June 2020 that the couple are expecting their first child together. The baby news came four days after Schroeder was fired fromVanderpump Rulesover her past racist actions.

The Date

“We’re 99 percent sure that it’s going to be a year from where we planned. So next year, 2021, October,” she said on “Straight Up With Stassi” in May 2020.

The Location

The twosome are still planning to wed in Rome.

“There are a couple of reasons my fiancé, Beau, and I wanted to do a destination wedding. The first is that we wanted a smaller wedding. I've been to weddings with 400 guests and seen how the bride doesn’t get to talk to everyone. The whole night is a blur,” Schroeder wrote in a Glamour column in February 2020. “Beau and I don’t want to have a wedding where we’re meeting people for the first time — if one of us doesn’t know you, you’re not coming. And since a destination wedding is difficult for a lot of people to attend, it’s easier to cut down the guest list.”

She added that Italy has “a lot of meaning” for the couple.

The Bridesmaids

While Schroeder initially didn’t want bridesmaids, she ended up picking nine of her friends and family members.

When I told my friends that I didn’t want to have bridesmaids, though, they were livid. They were like, “Abso-f—king-lutely not. We love you, and this means more to us than it does to you. If you don’t do bridesmaids, we’re going to kill you,” she said in January 2020. “But once I made that decision, I quickly realized: Oh, sh*t. If I’m going to do this, I have to really do this. I don’t like when weddings have 20 bridesmaids and 20 groomsmen, but I have so many people I want to include: my sister, my fiancé’s sister, my friends that I grew up with, and the friends that are a big part of my life now. It became a situation. And now I have nine bridesmaids. Don’t judge me.”

While Schroeder has yet to confirm which of her costars made the cut, she served as a bridesmaid for Katie Maloney and Brittany Cartwright in recent years.

“There’s been some drama around who I asked to be a bridesmaid … or rather, who I didn’t ask,” Schroeder wrote for Glamour. “Everyone’s allowed to feel salty. Everyone’s allowed to talk a little s—t. Just make sure I don’t find out about it. Do it properly, in the privacy of your own home, between you and one other person.”

The Plans to Film

The duo traveled to Italy with a producer in the past to ensure they could find a venue that was open to filming the wedding for Vanderpump Rules.

The Dresses

Schroeder made it clear she is planning on rocking more than one look on her big day.

“Maybe just like two dresses … three,” Schroeder said in 2019. “I just want to find out how to wear as many changes as I can.”

The Guest List

Schroeder won’t just have to worry about her Vanderpump Rules costars starting drama. She revealed in February 2020 that she invited both Lisa Vanderpump and Teddi Mellencamp to the wedding. Mellencamp, who isn’t on good terms with her former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills costar, told Us, however, that she isn’t worried.

“I think it would be fine,” the accountability coach told Us in April 2020. “Even after Lisa and I had our issues, we still saw one another at Denise [Richards’] wedding and we were fine. Anytime you go to a wedding, hopefully you’re not making it about yourself and your personal issues. I would assume the priority will be on Stassi and Beau.”

The Kristen Doute Factor

Shortly before Schroeder and Clark got engaged, the Bravo star’s falling out with friend Kristen Doute took another turn for the worse. As a result, Doute wasn’t invited to the engagement party. Schroeder has played coy about whether the James Mae designer will be make the final guest list, but she confirmed in January 2020 that she isn’t a bridesmaid.

“My heart wants Kristen there. I am praying and hoping that we get to a good place where we understand each other,” she told Glamour in February 2020. “But I have no idea how this year will go. I have no idea if we’ll be getting along. … And why would I invite someone who’s angry with me to one of the most important days of my life?”

As for May 2020, the two women are still on the outs.

The Vows

Their nuptials might be pushed back, but Schroeder told Us in February 2020 that she was already working on her vows. “Whenever I think of something, I go into my phone and put it in my notes,” she gushed.
