I love this recipe for salmon. The flavors work really well together and the brown sugar crisps up nicely in the oven.

Great Recipe, Great Flavors. Very easy to make and you can bake, broil or fry the fish.

Made this for the first time a few days ago and it was wonderful. I baked it rather than broiled. About 15 minutes at 400 degrees for a fillet of typical thickness. I will definitely use this recipe again, and I already have passed the recipe on to others.

We love this recipe. It is so simple and has great flavor. I make it exactly as the recipe indicates and would not change a thing. This dish is in our regular rotation.

I gave this five stars not only because it taste great but because it was so simple to make. The sweetness of the brown sugar and orange rind made this taste like candy and the other spices made it appropriate for dinner. Looking forward to having the leftovers for lunch today.

This is one of my all-time favorite dishes from Cooking Light. This has been my go-to salmon dish for several years now. It's a no-fail, easy to throw together dish that receives the highest compliments from all tasters. I do not alter the ingrediants or cooking time - it's great as described. It pairs really well with steamed snow peas. Love it!

Great recipe! The seasoning and orange zest give it great flavor! The only adjustment I made was added a little of the juice from the orange to give it a little more orange flavor.

One of the BEST salmon recipes EVER, and being a Pacific Northwesterner, I've tried LOADS. All recipes are a rough draft, and a good cook always makes it his/her own. I backed the chili powder off to a sprinkle (supertaster here), and used lemon zest instead of orange (what I had, but either would be great). Fabulous--not too sweet. Takes about 15 minutes to prepare AND cook. The rub would also be great on chicken, pork, or some roasted veggies. I broiled on the Lo setting.

So easy and so good. Very quick and most of the ingrediants are always on hand. I dont change anything when I make it.

This rub made absolutely THE BEST salmon I've ever had - and the fact that I made it in my own kitchen makes it even better! I made it for dinner one night when my sister popped over. We each took a bite and almost fell out of our chairs. She couldn't scarf hers down fast enough. I served it with jasmine rice and green beans sauteed in olive oil. Amazing!

The rub for this is absolutely incredible. It would be fantastic on any meat, not just fish. Will look forward to making again.

A bit spicey, maybe next time I'll use less chili powder but other than that, fantasic!

Good recipe - quick to make and very tasty. Followed a reviewer's suggestion and squeezed some of the orange juice over the top after cooking. Used the grill pan instead of the broiler- still about 8min. Served with couscous and asparagus (gave them a squirt of orange, too). Will definitely make again.

"Has Potential" is a great description of this recipe. I had many problems with it. 1. The title makes it seem like orange should be the dominant flavor in the dish. I was surprised to find that it only calls for 1/2 tsp of orange zest. I put together the "rub" and gave it a taste. I couldn't taste the orange at all. So I went ahead and added another 1/2 tsp of zest. 2. The "rub" was impossible to rub on the salmon. It was too moist to rub; it just clumped. As a result, I didn't have enough to even cover the fillets, so I made another batch, doubling the amount of "rub". I glopped it on the salmon the best I could. The result was not great. There was too much brown sugar in the "rub." It didn't melt down at all, so we were left eating salmon grainy globs of brown sugar on it. Even after doubling the orange zest, all we could taste was the brown sugar, not the orange. It was not good. I've decided not to give up, though. The next time I make it I am going to decrease the brown sugar to 1 tbsp (or less even) and add orange juice. This will make it more of a glaze that can be brushed on instead of "rubbed" on. The orange juice will ensure even coating of the glaze and will give a boost of orange flavor. I can't wait to try it this way. But, as written, I was very disappointed in this recipe.

I'm giving this recipe 5 stars because of the combination of taste and ease of cooking it. I used lemon instead of orange (since i didn't have orange on hand, plus i like lemon better) and it was still excellent. It was so fast and easy to make, and the spices added lost of flavor without a ton of calories. i made it over a bed of lemon and cooking broth flavored cous cous, and it was divine.

This was delicious! I made this for my boyfriend and I the other night and we will definitely be having it again! Very easy, few ingredients, few dishes, and fast! The citrus flavor was not too overpowering...just a simple surprise!

I am not a big fan of salmon but my husband and I are really trying to eat healthy. I really wanted to incorporate more fish. I could eat salmon every night w/ this recipe!! I also let the salmon sit in some fresh squeezed orange juice for around 30 minutes. This dish was amazing!! It wasn't fishy at all!! And was so not too sweet!!

Not what I was expecting. Very sweet--maybe next time cut down the brown sugar. I won't make again.

Love this recipe! What an easy way to get more fish in our diet! Fast, easy, and seriously delicious. I used frozen salmon fillets and applied more of the rub when I flipped them over at the half-way mark. Next time, I won't broil for as long as I did this time as the topping started to burn toward the end. An absolute repeat!

Yes it was easy and yes it had flavor. However, I felt that the spice rub overwhelmed the fish. I love curry and hot food, but I do not care to have the spices cancel out the taste of everything else on the plate

This was so easy and absolutely delicious! I was able to make this from what I already had in my pantry and it took about 5 minutes to prepare. I made it for my boyfriend (along with the greek style lemon potatoes) and it was declared the best dinner I've ever made. A complete hit!
